Pre-Release Review: Payoff (Market Garden #6) by L.A. Witt and Aleksandr Voinov
Summary:
Tristan and Jared have got it made. When they aren’t raking in the cash together at Market Garden, they’re burning up their own sheets and getting closer by the day. But something isn’t right. Tristan’s on edge, and Jared doesn’t understand why.
Before they can hash things out, their services are requested by none other than Rolex. And Rolex doesn’t just want to be a bystander this time. He wants Jared while Tristan watches, and he’s more than willing to pay for it.
But Tristan’s reached a breaking point, and even that huge wad of cash might not be enough to keep tonight’s arrangement from crashing and burning.
My Review:
Oh! These boys! Jared and Tristan were my first official m/m romance with Quid Pro Quo. Yeah, I don’t do anything slow, I jump right in with both feet and total determination. I was not disappointed in what I got. Far from it. In just the few pages I got from Jared’s POV as he finally had the opportunity to be with Tristan, even if it was paid for by the john we only know as “Rolex,” it was worth it. These two were my first, they…for lack of a better term, popped my m/m romance cherry and they will always hold that coveted title. No, I don’t think highly of myself to say that, I think highly of them to say it.
With Take it Off, we got the boys again but this time, we got Tristan’s POV. He loves the power, the control over this game he and Jared play with Rolex but he is changing. His feelings toward Jared are changing and that is a move he wasn’t expecting. Did he get what he wanted in the end? More time with Jared?
Pay Off…love the title – unf…starts with the boys doing what they do best. They are still at team yet in their down time they are spending more and more time together alone. There is tension in the air as we get Jared trying to figure out what is up with Tristan when…
“Holy shit.” Tristan’s eyes were fixed on the door. “Look who walked in.”
Oh yeah, Rolex is back and he knows exactly what he wants, more time with his favorite pair of rent boys. There is something not quite right; is it his request to turn the tables while he has Jared and Tristan watches or is it that Tristan can’t handle watching anyone other than him touch Jared? That dilemma right there is what makes this book so damn hot.
“You gentlemen free?”
“We’re hardly gentlemen, and we’re never free. You know that.”
Now , with book one we got Jared’s POV, in book two we got Tristan’s POV and I thought we would be going back to Jared with this but oh no, our off the charts hotter than hot pair BOTH give us their POV’s in this one. Damn but that makes this book stellar! It couldn’t have been any other way, we need to know what each of them is thinking.
Holy Fuck…Is there anything you two can’t make sexy?
Um, no. There isn’t. Now I won’t go into detail with this, there are so few pages of the boys that if you have read them before, you need to experience it all for yourself. But I will say that I was impressed with this. To have me turned on, anxious, heartbroken and swoony basically through this entire story is just amazing. I should not be turned on and tearing up at the same time yet the authors pulled those exact emotions from me.
Pay Off is just that. It’s a complete pay off for the story of Tristan and Jared. A great conclusion to their story that while I could have read more and more from them, I am satisfied with the ending. I will miss them but at least I, yes I (they are my special boys dammit!) was given three wonderful stories with them in it. From start to finish, from the first OMFG that was HOT in Quid Pro Quo to the last word in this, I would experience the boys all over again and boys,
You’re well worth it…
