Summary:

Reece and Scarlet have everything a loving couple could want, except a hot kinky sex life. Malachi, an experienced Dom, steps in to help them sort that out. But not only is he a terrible memory from Reece’s past, he’s a smartass and damaged goods, too.
As they all learn to trust each other, Malachi becomes more than just their kink coach. It’s a full-on brat smackdown, and no heart gets out unscathed.

Warning: Contains unrepentant brats, surprise orgasms, a Domme with training wheels, and a Dom whose tongue is registered as a weapon of mass seduction

~Interview with Leia Shaw~

1. How excited are you that your book is in the hands of your readers?

Very! But I think our loyal readers and fans of the series are even more excited. Lol. They were chomping at the bit for this one and we worked hard and fast to satisfy them. Ooh! That sounded dirty 😉

2.  Can you tell us a little bit about your book?

Reece and Scarlet have the perfect relationship – love, friendship, passion – except that they can’t quite get their sex life in sync. They both know they like to spice things up with some kink but the roles are confusing and things seem to be getting more and more frustrating the harder they try. When Reece’s friend suggests a Dom to help them, they both jump at the chance. Only Reece is in for a shock when she sees who the mysterious “sex therapist” is. Even though he’s helping to sort out their roles and take their relationship from frustrating to mind-blowing, things get even more complicated as they start to develop feelings for him.

 3.  Which came first, your characters or the plot?

Always the characters. I’m fascinated by relationships and dynamics between couples. The plot came quickly and easily for this book for some reason, but characters are most important. They’re what drive the book. You can love ‘em or hate ‘em, but you can’t not care. Without an interesting relationship, you got nothing, in my opinion.

 4.  What aspects about your hero do you think will resonate with readers?

Malachi is a total gentlemen. Yes he’s a Dom and won’t hesitate to turn a bratty sub over his knee, but when it comes down to matters of the heart, he’s a sweetheart. He’s got a great sense of humor, goofy, and just all around loveable. Oh, and we can’t forget about the clever tongue 😉

 5.  What aspects about your heroines do you think will resonate with readers?

Reece and Scarlet are very much in love. They respect each other and are determined to make each other happy in any way possible. They’re both selfless in that way and I think that’s what makes them great heroines.

 6.  What was your favorite part to write about?

As I said, the character dynamics. Having the two (or three in this case) get to know each other, form a friendship then a deeper connection. I absolutely LOVE writing flirtation! Being a natural flirt in real life might be part of that. Lol.

 7.  What was your least favorite part? (Or hardest?)

I’m super fast and super good at writing dialogue. But when it comes to anything with long narration – like descriptions of setting, I start snoring. I try to keep my descriptions snappy and interesting cause I have a short attention span so I figure everyone else does too. Lol. Sex scenes are fun to imagine (of course), but they’re pretty hard to write. I mean, how many ways can YOU think of to describe an orgasm? So they can be challenging too.

 8.  If you could rate your book in terms of steaminess (1 being kissing your neighbor’s cheek on the way home from a party and 10 being strapped naked to the bed with a crop and whipped cream) what would you rate it?

Ten!!!! Lots of naked, being tied to things, and crops. But no whipped cream. Lol.

9.  Are you planning on continuing this book in a series? If so, can you tell us more about it?

This is the 4th book in the Badass Brats series. All of them have been written by Sorcha, Cari, and I. There is a 5th but we don’t have a release date. Sorcha is writing it on her own and it’ll be a little different. A foursome instead of a threesome. But I have faith it will be just as awesome as the rest 😉

10.  If you could say one thing to your readers about this book and why they should read it, what would it be?

The characters are authentic, the sassiness will make you laugh, and the sex will make you need a cold shower. It’s called The Dom with the Clever Tongue – aren’t you curious? Lol.
